It's 2004 and all anyone at Hogwarts can talk about is the Last Avery. 
Caspar Orpington is a Slytherin Second Year, young but powerful, and not just in magic. He has influence and enemies among all houses, a 'poster boy' for Slytherin.
Isobel Avery is an orphan who spent 8 years hidden away under the Fidelius Charm, and with nothing to occupy her she began to teach herself magic from the books in the Avery Library. For her, Hogwarts is a daunting obligation, full of rules and people, two things she can barely remember ever dealing with. To Hogwarts, she's an anomaly, a mystery, and quickly proves to be a powerful new player. 

This Fanfic is set in JK Rowling's wonderful Wizarding World, which I do not own! It also features a wide cast of OC's and there are some familiar faces who you will recognise as the property of JKR, but that I had an awful lot of fun writing :)All Rights Reserved

When the forecast came through that the storm made it impossible for everyone to leave their homes, she realized she was stuck with the stranger longer than she anticipated. The stranger had an almost threatening aura around him, and that scared her slightly, but she couldn't help but feel intrigued by him. What she didn't know, was in the wizarding world, there was a special thing called soul mates. This stranger had arrived by accident, but there was reason.
