Hobi: the extravagant prairie dog who's over large head is always getting him and his buddies into trouble. He wears a red cape and his greatest ambition is to prove his parents wrong, they said prairie dogs can't fly but must always dig and harvest food. Bah!! He was going to show them.
Ash: the courageous possum, if a possum could be courageous but they just can't. By their very nature possums are reluctant to do much more than a prairie dog but Ash had the fortune or misfortune depending on how you looked at it of being best friends with crazy Hobi.
Traveler: the brains of the operation made a fine addition to the duo making them the three stooges of Caras. Being the wisest young owl in the land he would always warn Hobi not to do whatever it was he was about to do but being the young owl he was, he always ended up joining in on the commotion.
Every den mother in the area knew to be on guard if they were anywhere around and to lock away their children, lest they should get the absurd idea to act a fool such as these three.
