The novel "Fabini" features the protagonist, Marcello Borsellini, an Italian in his late sixties who once was the Mayor of Fabini, a lawyer in the Ministry of Justice in Rome, and now a failed writer seeking a flying magic carpet in a distant land for his world of magical realism.
The novel consists of four sections' A prologue, "The Fabini Circus stories,"Fabini revisited," and an epilogue.
The prologue introduces Lola Borsellini Girodano, Marcello's great granddaughter who discovers his treasure trove of unpublished writings.All Rights Reserved

The premise of this fantasy story, who's setting in in an imaginary town in Tuscany, Italy, is like a riddle--the idea of an old recluse tasked with carrying out the mysterious, fantastical last wishes of his much more famous, enigmatic childhood friend is at the heart of the story. The story begin by simply setting up a hint that a greater conflict is lurking underneath the seemingly harmless request. It reads almost like a mystery novel which keeps the tension up and the pages turning.
