It's hard getting close to anybody when you know how long they'll live...

Thana Valdís is the daughter of Death. Like, literally. Her name even means death. Her father had taken a form as a mortal and had slept with her mother. Poof! Then she came along.

Her mom dropped her faster than a hot potato and left her to Death. They had sort of come to an agreement. Death made sure she was comfortable, and in turn, Thana didn't make his life unnecessarily hard.

Being Death's daughter, she had some 'special' abilities. She could see a persons soul, judge whether it was meant for the good places, the bad places, or the neutral places (really, it all depended on what they believed in, there was no solid heaven or hell), reap it, and knew how long they had to live.

She could see and talk to ghosts (graveyards were her favourite place for a reason), summon dead spirits and people, (Alexander the Great had a serious stick up his ass) and knew how old something was.

Oh, and she got the ability to kill any being by just touching. So, if she wasn't careful, she could kill you with a touch.

Thanks, dad.

But even as bad as things are, they could be a lot worse, so she doesn't complain. That is, until things get a lot worse.

Somebody, something, is killing the reapers. Which means, people aren't dying when they're supposed to, and people are coming back.

If she doesn't stop this soon, soon even Death would die (perish? Could Death even die anyway?) and the world will collapse from overpopulation and fall into chaos.

Also, that pissed her off because only she was allowed to try and kill Death! He was her Dad, she had killing rights.

Can Thana, with the help of three unlikely friends and chatty spirits save the day? Or will nobody ever die - forever - and the world will be sent into chaos?

Looks like she's got a hard task ahead of her. Good thing she has her favourite silver gun/

This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him. A dangerous strangers loves to kill little girls, and his sister Kit

In a little Italian town lives Valentina, a young girl that lives a normal life with her family. Her life is turned upside down the day her school is attacked by a group of unknown individuals with supernatural abilities. She winds up dragged in a story and scheme much larger than her that will decide of the fate of humanity. The blaring of the facility's sirens covered the sound of the guard's body falling on the white floor. His limbs were unresponsive, lying in a pool of blood that soaked his hefty military gear. He wished he didn't have it on him when hell broke loose. He might have been able to run faster and escape, but it was too late. It had all happened in a matter of seconds. Before he could react, his colleagues had already turned on each other, killing mercilessly. He hoped to close his eyes and wake up by his wife's side as she prepared dinner for their two daughters. There, he would be at peace. He wouldn't have to experience his comrades' pain and the same sorry fate that awaited him. His heart raced as the unnatural sound of fracturing bones echoed through the narrow corridors he once thought he was safe in. It would soon be his turn. The door he had desperately tried to reach during his escape opened. A boy who appeared to be in his early teens walked through. He had soft facial features and short black hair that looked like it had been cut in a rush. It was not so much because of the boy's blood-drenched clothes that he looked like the one responsible for the gruesome incident, but rather because of that sinister look in his hazel eyes.

*to be edited: please excuse any continuity errors and / or mistakes in regards the writing quality of Hades* Ellie is just like every other normal eighteen year old girl in the world, except for one big reason. She's the daughter of Hades. And an immortal goddess in charge of managing suicide in the world. And she's been locked in the darkness of the Underworld for her entire life. So basically, her life couldn't get any more abnormal if she tried. Ellie longs to experience life like everybody else her age, but for as long as she can remember her parents haven't let her travel up to the surface, and she's been forced to imagine the upper world through the stories her mother told and the books she read. Until, one day, her parents finally give in and let her go up to the surface to see the world through her own eyes, and her world explodes with colour. Then, just when she thinks her life couldn't get more exciting, she stumbles across a very particular green-eyed god; one who throws her perfectly organised world into complete chaos and shows her what it means to live in the light. But what Ellie doesn't know, is that the Fates have a prophecy for her. A prophecy that she couldn't escape if she tried. A prophecy that has tangled it's gnarled fingers into the threads of her life, and may just throw the world into the darkness Ellie has spent her whole life trying to escape. "He's the son of Aphrodite, she's the daughter of Hades. He's light, she's the oncoming darkness. He advocates for love, she's the embodiment of death. What could possibly go wrong?" *to be edited: please excuse any continuity errors and / or mistakes in regards the writing quality of Hades* You could say that a lot has happened to Evie Autumn over the past few years. 1. Her best friend died (kind of ) and she found out that everyone she knew were immortal-walking-on-the-earth Greek gods. 2. She fell in love with the ruler of Hell (kind of) and agreed to become his new Queen. 3. She battled jealous sea gods and scary titans; a big fight which really, all could have been avoided with a big family therapy session. Yup, life sure was calmer than it had been in a while. Not that Evie missed the chaos or anything; she totally loved sitting around all day with the love of her life, alternating between telling people how to live their afterlives and telling Hades that he really needed to educate his Disney movie knowledge. But then that serene bubble was shattered when, once again, her life was maliciously twisted out of proportion right in front of her; and on her wedding day, no less. Once again, Evie must race against the clock to save the love of her life - and the world, of course - before time runs out; but this time, the stakes are much higher. This time, it's not just the fate of the world on the line. It's Evie's heart too. [Ranked #76 in Teen Fiction on 05.10.16] [OFFICIAL HADES SEQUEL]
