It's hard getting close to anybody when you know how long they'll live...
Thana Valdís is the daughter of Death. Like, literally. Her name even means death. Her father had taken a form as a mortal and had slept with her mother. Poof! Then she came along.
Her mom dropped her faster than a hot potato and left her to Death. They had sort of come to an agreement. Death made sure she was comfortable, and in turn, Thana didn't make his life unnecessarily hard.
Being Death's daughter, she had some 'special' abilities. She could see a persons soul, judge whether it was meant for the good places, the bad places, or the neutral places (really, it all depended on what they believed in, there was no solid heaven or hell), reap it, and knew how long they had to live.
She could see and talk to ghosts (graveyards were her favourite place for a reason), summon dead spirits and people, (Alexander the Great had a serious stick up his ass) and knew how old something was.
Oh, and she got the ability to kill any being by just touching. So, if she wasn't careful, she could kill you with a touch.
Thanks, dad.
But even as bad as things are, they could be a lot worse, so she doesn't complain. That is, until things get a lot worse.
Somebody, something, is killing the reapers. Which means, people aren't dying when they're supposed to, and people are coming back.
If she doesn't stop this soon, soon even Death would die (perish? Could Death even die anyway?) and the world will collapse from overpopulation and fall into chaos.
Also, that pissed her off because only she was allowed to try and kill Death! He was her Dad, she had killing rights.
Can Thana, with the help of three unlikely friends and chatty spirits save the day? Or will nobody ever die - forever - and the world will be sent into chaos?
Looks like she's got a hard task ahead of her. Good thing she has her favourite silver gun/

You could say that a lot has happened to Evie Autumn over the past few years.
1. Her best friend died (kind of ) and she found out that everyone she knew were immortal-walking-on-the-earth Greek gods.
2. She fell in love with the ruler of Hell (kind of) and agreed to become his new Queen.
3. She battled jealous sea gods and scary titans; a big fight which really, all could have been avoided with a big family therapy session.
Yup, life sure was calmer than it had been in a while.
Not that Evie missed the chaos or anything; she totally loved sitting around all day with the love of her life, alternating between telling people how to live their afterlives and telling Hades that he really needed to educate his Disney movie knowledge.
But then that serene bubble was shattered when, once again, her life was maliciously twisted out of proportion right in front of her; and on her wedding day, no less.
Once again, Evie must race against the clock to save the love of her life - and the world, of course - before time runs out; but this time, the stakes are much higher.
This time, it's not just the fate of the world on the line.
It's Evie's heart too.
