Jerome and Jeremiah get adopted by a woman called Lila Valeska; when they turn 8 Jerome meets a girl with brown hair and dark eyes. She tells him she gets abused at home.
Jerome pity's her and gives the French girl a place to stay.
(In the circus) after Jeremiah leaves because he thinks Jerome is crazy he wants to drag Rosalie along, but she can't leave Jerome he was there for her when no one else was so she stays and they never saw Jeremiah again.
Or so they thought...
Jerome & Rosalie travel with the circus to Gotham and things get a lot more complicated than anyone could ever imagine
