Carmella has been judging an annual local singing competition, the Sing It Specials, for ten years in a row. When her co-judge Francis becomes horribly ill, the replacement judge is no other than Carmella's childhood idol Michael Jackson! Even though she is utterly confused why a world-known megastar is volunteering to take part in a small local television special, a great friendship forms as Michael tries to do all that he can to help a preteen prodigy make his way to the final rounds of the competition.
