"She was a silent fighter, with a demon in her lung, that stole her breaths right from her, before they'd hardly passed her tongue. He was a silent fighter, who was always taught to share, and held his breath when he was with her, just so she could have his air." -e.h. Artemis Crock has a twin brother, Apollo, who is as different from her as, well, day and night. While the two aren't alike, they are extremely close. But what happens when they join the Justice League's new covert team? Read to find out.
(Only mature because of self-harm and abuse, I'm paranoid)
Artemis Crock is the new prison guard at Belle Reve Penitentiary, the criminal housing unit for metahumans. She knew her job would be hard, but she never expected to fall for one of her captives, a young, hotheaded and wildcard criminal, the son of the Reverse Flash, Black Velocity. When she is personally put in charge of finding the villain, after he escapes single handedly, all of her morals are put to the test, and she must make the difficult decision whether to do as told, or lose everything to stand alongside Black Velocity. Will Artemis risk everything, just to learn more about the criminal behind the mask, and who he truly is, and to maybe, just maybe, fall in love with him? (Loads of angst writing ahead in later chapters...proceed with a possible tissue)
Disclaimer: I obviously do not own Young Justice, but Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman do! Thank them for one of the best DC Comics animated series ever!
