After meeting his fifteen classmates, the headmaster Monokuma reveals to each of the students that they all are a part of a killing game, to which they are forced to pick off their classmates one by one until either two remain, or they correctly reveal the mastermind behind this killing game and execute them. A connection formed by a shared pain. The pain of the past. Pasts they can't forget. Pasts that shaped them into who they are today. Pasts they think they'll never move on from. The future has always looked bleak for them. But as their connection begins to strengthen, they begin to think otherwise. Just maybe, these two broken souls can heal each other.
