She had it all together, or so she claimed. Having lost her mother, and caring for her little sister most of her teenage years, left her scared and broken. She had given up on ever being happy again.
After years of being bounced around in the system, Izzy and Rosie are placed in a foster home where they are safe and loved. Unfortunately, their foster guardian can't adopt them, but one day, four people walk through the door looking to adopt a teenager, even when she comes with her little sister. But she's scared of finding happiness again, when all she's known in life was hurt and disappointment. What happens when these four people adopt Rosie and Izzy and show them a life of love and happiness? Can Izzy let them in, or have her walls simply been built too high?
