A first year student who believes passionately in direct-democracy has to uncover the dark truth about her seemingly perfect world in order to save New Britain from a power-hungry leader.

***

Athena wants to get through her first year at the New London University of Politics maintaining a reasonable influence level and taking part in as many votes as possible. Her world runs on voting: from the colour of clothing, to the price of food, everything is determined by the people.

What Athena doesn't want is to be asked to spy on a group who believe voters have less choice than they realise. Nor does she expect enigmatic Dyo to get under her skin, causing her to wonder if her society is less perfect than it seems.

But Dyo is keeping secrets too, and Athena struggles to work out who to trust and what she should do next.

Her society may be broken, but it isn't unfixable - yet. From student to spy, traitor to revolutionary, Athena must work out who she wants to be, and which side she should be fighting for, before New London's citizens have their democracy destroyed forever.

"Any thought you ever had; memories, desires, your fears and your dreams, are all recorded and stored safely in the Quantum Cloud for your eventual revival. Death is now merely a transitional period to the next stage of your existence. As a QUBIT (quantum processing biosynthetic), you will experience a life free of disease and suffering. Time is no longer your enemy. Regret is a thing of the past. Each new day brings the promise of endless possibilities, spent in the pursuit of your own happiness, guiltless with the knowledge that there are no longer earthly constraints to inhibit you. This is the life you have always wanted. Welcome to your new beginning..." Akropolis is a city at the end of times, a sanctuary where the brightest and best have been housed since the last Great War. A genome defect has afflicted the majority of the population and scientists are desperate to find a cure. In the meantime, man has found his own salvation in the form of the QUBIT (quantum processing bio-synthetic), an android that is capable of prolonging life almost indefinitely, and yet what makes them human in the first place has been lost in the transition. The ruling council believes that salvation is nigh, but whether that hope arrives in time is questionable. The city's future depends upon the actions of a few individuals, all of whom are struggling with their own mortality. Quentin is the boy who dreams of death. Mia is the tortured soul. Trey is the soldier that defines duty. Misao is the future of the ruling council. Claire is the girl with a secret that will rock the foundations of their entire civilization. Unbeknownst to them, the entire fate of Akropolis lies in their hands. Either humanity will find a way to survive or it will sink slowly into the sea of extinction.

This is also my most autobiographical book to date. Enjoy the vulnerability. New chapters every Thursday. Be ready for many distressing scenes and content. Adult themes. Including but not limited to adultery, predatory grooming, risk of rape, assault, beatings, references to suicide, references to sex and much more.

For centuries Persephone lived in the Underworld with Hades. She finally escaped but it caused the displacement of Greek Gods and Goddesses to Earth with no memory of their true identities. After much debate, modern day college junior, Alba Sommer, decides to join a sorority at Olympus University in IL. At first it seems Alba is being unfairly hazed. If she wants to make Kappa Zeta, she has to do whatever KZ president, Miranda Belle, tells her to. But the further Alba progresses into rushing, it becomes evident that a lot more is going on. Alba's true identity of Psyche, goddess of the soul, has ancient history with Miranda's true identity of Aphrodite. The displaced Gods begin to play out their ancient pasts as history repeats itself. Caught up in century old love triangles and disagreements, the displaced are clueless that Hades and his minions are fast on the trail to finding them in his search to recapture his beloved Persephone. Knowing these Gods are vulnerable not knowing their true identities, Hades realizes he could steal their souls to the Underworld and wage a battle with Zeus for dominion over Earth. If the displaced don't discover their true identities, they will be helpless. ******************************************* For those that don't know --- on Wattpad votes mean a lot! A dystopian young adult novel involving romance, secret experiments on human subjects, and a group of teenagers' will to survive. Reader Comments: "I'm gonna gush about your book real quick...all the technology has a purpose and is beautifully explained so I can picture it in my mind...the whole concept of the book is completely original...*moment of silence for your beautiful arch of character development* everything your characters do is strictly them but they develop enough to show more about themselves without you straight up telling the reader about them" -Vairl9023 "Ahh!!! This is so good!! I will be anxiously awaiting the next Chapter!!" -CrystalBagot "Brilliant...ohh, this is very catchy, good work" -IndeeMaynard "I love this so far" -BrianneMorris "You've done a great job at creating a mysterious mood" -poisonedpen *** All Evita Creedy, 17, wants is to finish her degree and be accepted for a prestigious job with the city's Department of Energy.
