Our ancestors told their children stories so they can learn how to get along in the world. This is such a story from times past. Where the line between truth and myth blur.
In a tribal community long ago, a young family rejoices at the birth of another child. The couples older son, Kindil feels forgotten and pushed aside by the community. Lonely, he decides to leave the safety and protection of the tribe and wanders far away, hiding among the stars in the night sky.
In order to bring him home, the tribal shaman calls for a living sacrifice--the new son of the young family. Will Kindil make it back from his hiding place in time to save the one person who he blamed for his misfortune? Will the young mother and father accept the fate of their little baby in order to be reconciled to their first born? What if there is another way?
This is a story about growing up, learning to accept change, and the love that can happen between siblings.
