Bucky Barnes lost his best friend, Steve Rogers, the only person who ever managed to break through to him while he was under HYDRA's control. He gently placed her back onto her feet, whipping a knife out of his belt. He pushed Brenna behind him protectively. Backing away with caution, Brenna could only watch as the suspense rose. "Don't make me do this," Steve pleaded, his voice sounding tired. But Bucky was gone once again, taken control of by the Winter Soldier. And the only thing that mattered now was completing his mission. The two lunged for each other. ' • • • Brenna Halliday Stark. She'd never dreamed that one day she would have superpowers; that one day, she would kill. One day, she would fall in love with an assassin under the control of HYDRA. But it happened. Born in 1945, Blaire Carter finds herself waking up in the 21st century after being used as a tool for Hydra for over fifty years. As she's met with familiar faces, old memories begin to resurface that were once buried in the back of her mind. And now they're coming back to haunt her. Because you can run, but you can't hide from your past. I also don't own any of the characters, of course, except Blaire.
