Soreth was the biggest empire in High Land, standing still with fertile soil, good amount of clear water from Alph and Ord River, also invincible military and economic power. It was known as the kingdom of the moon goddess for it was blessed with her power and gave off a whole other level of vibration that could catch foreigners off guard.
Damian was the king of Soreth. He reigned the kingdom with absolute power and was also a ruthless and cold-hearted king. Under his reign, Soreth rose to its most glorious era. Damian had always known that one day he would marry Aira. He knew that he had all the advantages for the ancient rule in the Kingdom of Soreth which stated that the king had to marry the high priestess as his first wife..., but then the rule didn't just stop there. It also stated that as soon as they had their offspring, they had to go into their separate way. Damian would still be the king and Aira would still be the high priestess, only that she would spend her entire life living in the holy temple to train their children to be the next Soreth high priestess candidate, and he would be damned if he let some stupid ancient rule separate them.
Aira was the only high priestess in her kingdom. It was the reason why the holy temple was the only home the she had ever known. She could recall each crevice, rune and sygil which is engraved on to its wall. She knew the exact numbers of crystals which adorned its altar, even her own skin smelled like the mixture of lavender and cinamon that always scattered around its floor. Aira had always known that one day she would marry Damian, the king of Soreth, but this marriage was not that kind of romantic marriage at all. This marriage was just another obligation for her as the high priestess. But of course it was so wrong of her to think that Damian would just let her go after having a taste.
