"I will not speak. I will not resist. I will not fail." The three capital rules, the three commandments Vincent Feldman must follow, or forfeit his life. At 16, Vincent Feldman is just another average junior in the Michigan public school system. Born into a dysfunctional family, tasked with the responsibility of raising his younger sister, Jacqueline, as their older brothers work to keep their family afloat, things are consistent. Normal. But as Vince is sent to Mortbury Academy, flung into the dark underbelly of a world he's never known and told to survive by any means necessary, his life is turned on its head as he's given three rules he must never break.
