For one, the only way to save the princess from the dark dimension is to use magic which August's father had outlawed in their kingdom. Secondly, the spell to free the princess from her tower was in Lux's Grimoire which nobody knew the whereabouts of. Thirdly, he can't solve either of these things without a cheeky pirate. August just wants to save the princess and start his duties as a prince, but things keep get thrown at him. Warrior fairies, pixie fighting rings, mermaid gangs, elven ancient prophecies, druid arms dealers, and that damned crazy ass pirate! This is supposed to be a standard fairy tale story!!!
