Ainsley is a dragonblood princess, powerful but constantly restrained by her duties and her oppressive father, the king of Ellay. She tries her best to hate Gael and the pirates, but slowly, they're winning her over, and she must face the awful truth: to follow her heart will bring about catastrophic consequences, and she will need to be prepared to fight fire with fire.

Secondly, the spell to free the princess from her tower was in Lux's Grimoire which nobody knew the whereabouts of. Thirdly, he can't solve either of these things without a cheeky pirate. August just wants to save the princess and start his duties as a prince, but things keep get thrown at him. Warrior fairies, pixie fighting rings, mermaid gangs, elven ancient prophecies, druid arms dealers, and that damned crazy ass pirate! This is supposed to be a standard fairy tale story!!! Why are things going like this?
