It's 2029 in the outskirts of Paris, France. Mika and his family live in a refugee camp bordering the war front of Versailles. Russia and America have been at war for some time now, and after the treaty of Clear Skies no global super power has been permitted to own nuclear weapons. Mika and his family were moved to France by the U.S. after Russia launched a full out ground invasion of the lower forty eight, and Paris is now the last fully Democratic city west of Honolulu, standing as America's last ally in this brutal war. Mika's father works for the Democratic Council of Paris when he suddenly goes missing. Believing there is a spy in their midst, Mika ventures out beyond the Democratic Republic of Paris and into the War zone of Versailles.
