(A Criminal Minds Fanfic {Dr. Spencer Reid})

Book 2 in the "Psychosis" series.

As long as the members of the BAU have known her, Ciara Byrne has kept a wealth of secrets- secrets that seemed to destroy her even as she held tightly onto them. After a year of working with her, most of them had learned to let it go and had given up on ever finding out those secrets.

But when Ciara goes missing, letting those secrets stay hidden may not be an option anymore.

Dr. Spencer Reid thought he knew Ciara. But as the investigation goes on, more holes start to appear in the plot of her life, and he starts to realize how little he actually knew her. But what he did know was that her disappearance left him realizing how much his feelings for her had grown and that he should have told her that long ago. He knew that the key to finding her before it was too late was hidden somewhere in the secrets of her past, and when the genius set his mind to something, nothing and no one could stop him.

The clock is ticking. An agent's life is on the line. And if the BAU wants to have any chance of seeing Ciara again, they'll have to work hard to unearth the secrets she fought so hard to keep buried.

When a certain convict escapes from prison simply due to a lucky chance, the Behavioral Analysis Unit once again finds themselves face to face with a previous foe, one that caused great issue for a particular young genius. The events that ensue threaten to expose one of Doctor Spencer Reid's most deep, hidden secrets. Will all be revealed for his team to judge? Will Spencer finally find peace in a loving relationship? Or will familiar faces triumph in ending the team of profilers once and for all? You'll have to read to find out! Finally, a sequel to a previous Criminal Minds story of mine called Fibonacci! This sequel was a long time coming, and I'm thrilled to finally release it for you all to enjoy. As usual, here are a few disclaimers: I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE ORIGNIAL CRIMINAL MINDS CHARACTERS OR STORYLINE MENTIONED IN THIS STORY! (Some of the plot from the television show has been altered at some points solely for the good of this particular story). I ALSO DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE PICTURES ATOP EACH CHAPTER OR THE PICUTRES THAT I COMPILED TO MAKE THE COVER! (Links will be provided to where I found every picture from as to give appropriate credit to the owners). WHILE THIS STORY IS NOT CURRENTLY RATED MATURE, THERE ARE SOME MENTIONS OF THE FOLLOWING: HOMOSEXUAL RELTIONSHIPS (nothing gets too graphic aside from kissing), FAIRLY MILD DEPICTIONS OF VIOLENCE/BODILY HARM (at some points, there are scenes where someone is getting beat up, but nothing more serious than that), DEPICTIONS OF WEAPONS (guns and things like that that one expects in a story about FBI agents).

Loud music roared through the speakers and a sparkling string of lights twinkled on the ceiling. As you turned to your right to look for JJ, you locked eyes with Reid. His hazel eyes stared longingly into yours from across the room. You quickly dropped your gaze to the floor, avoiding any type of smile or greeting. You could feel the heat of a blush rush into your cheeks. Shit. When you looked back up at Reid, trying to catch his gaze once more, you watched him furrow his brows and turn around with a confused expression painted across his face. You felt bad and wanted to follow after him, but your racing thoughts paralyzed you. You couldn't catch feelings. You couldn't risk it. You couldn't lose another person close to you, not after what had already happened the past year." "The comets Have such a space to cross, Such coldness, forgetfulness. (A Criminal Minds Fanfic {Dr. Spencer Reid}) Isabel Ashe: writer, supposed prodigy, all-around mystery. No one knows anything about Isabel, but that's because she wants to keep it that way. The FBI, however, doesn't want to keep it that way. Throughout Isabel's works, it's been shown she is an expert on forensic psychology: an expert of knowing how to get into a criminal's mind to catch them. For this reason, it is thought that she would be an excellent member of the Behavioral Analysis Unit, or the BAU. However, they have to find her first. They thought of sending the BAU to find her. After all, who better to find a potential profiler than a team of profilers? The members of the BAU didn't expect to have to find the ghost of a girl that is Isabel Ashe. However, when all other resources have been exhausted, it seems they are the only chance the FBI has left of finding her. Thanks to the technical genius of Penelope Garcia, they quickly find out who Isabel Ashe really is, and finding her becomes less of a challenge. They prepared for how they were going to tell Isabel Ashe that she was wanted by the FBI for reasons they didn't know. What they didn't prepare for was finding the girl riddled with psychosis, among other things. Yet, they decide to take a chance with her when they see she has amazing control over her psychosis. After all, who better to catch a psycho than a psycho?
