Susan Sto Helit is the granddaughter of Death himself. After her grandfather goes missing,again, it falls upon her to take up his scythe and don his cloak. One hundred and fifty years later and he's still missing. While she's proved that she can handle her newly redeemed responsibilities rather well while still maintaining her humanity, the question remains: just how long can she keep it up?
Jack Frost is a guardian now and finally he has people who see him but when Pitch makes a shockingly fast comeback a new guardian is once again chosen. Unfortunately for all of them, and the whole world really, he's been missing for a very long time. So when Jack comes across someone in an identical cloak with the famous scythe he immediately investigates her. Will the Guardian of Fun manage to rub off on the most sensible person alive? or will it all prove useless in the face of her upbringing?

Jack had almost hurt, or even killed, his friends by accidentally tripping over a curb and creating a massive blizzard. The Guardians were furious since the children's lives were momentarily put in serious danger by one of their own. After a heated argument between Jack and the others, he ran off. If he didn't learn how to handle hardships and what it's like being a human in that time frame, he would die. Jack soon meets an unexpected rescuer who takes him in and cares for him. Not only is he fighting against time, but the Boogyman decides to make Jack a target. Will he learn his lesson? Or will he die in 3 months time? If he is to survive, what will happen next?
