Kaj Dellmare is just a teenage boy who wants to live his life freely. He never really struggled with that, until aliens came to take him and his whole generation away. The Omarans--the alien race that had took him--had their reasons, yet they still did their best to avoid contact. Many of the alien crew were afraid of him, but not Jirab. With Jirab's help, Kaj quickly copes with the new life he's been given.
But the humans want them back, and in the deep crevices of space lurks another race that thirsts for blood, Kaj's especially.

You, as one person, do not exist to around six billion, nine hundred ninety-nine million, nine hundred ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred ninety-five people, if you are truly loved by five persons. Luck of the draw, life on Earth is. At least, that's what the human species chooses to believe. Now, knowing more alien species exist than human races, Lance feels suffocated. He has to fight even more for that little bit of relevance, to get acknowledged.
