Into Seimei no Mori

Hoashi Ryoko lives in a village within a valley surrounded by mountains. The town itself is fairly normal by most standards, the most peculiar aspects of it being a heightened sense of spirituality and the infamous forest encasing the base of one of the mountains. Ryoko, ever since being a young child, held an interest in the forest and its creatures, especially a certain mask wearing, fiery resident. Ryoko grows up visiting the forest and developing a relationship with the masked individual, learning of the secrets of the lively forest along the way.

This is the reboot to The Meaning Behind Karma, but is an original story this time and the themes are more central opposed to the previous excess of fluff...though some of that will still be present.
