Cassie Wallace is starting high school in California. After turning fifteen over the summer, she's ready to conquer high school with her best friends. Well...she thought she was ready. Cassie soon finds herself on a road that uncovers everything from new friends, great memories, and a new teacher to  troubled families, bullies, and new developments in her friendship with the boy next door. As she navigates her freshman year and several changes, Cassie is growing up fast...and it's only her fifteenth year.

NOTE: Each post will contain in the header will contain a song I love that I listened to while writing the book. Some made me think of Cassie, some will be mentioned throughout the story, others are just things from my playlist that helped me grind on long days of writing this story I feel so passionately about. Hope you enjoy them as well!

She ran away from the town she grew up in when she was 15, trying to escape scientists who wanted to use the special spark inside of her and perform tests that would transform her into what they believed could be used as a governmental weapon. Lyric and Troy instantly find a familiarity in each other that comforted them..they quickly fall into friendship which then quickly develops into what you might call love. He fell head over heels for her without any control, now he has to deal with the consequences of falling in love with his absolute best friend with a boyfriend, and not being able to have her. Little did Lyric know that the man that became her best friend who taught her how to trust again would also be the one to coax her heart back open.
