The man is alone. He walks through the street, listening to music through his earphones, his head hanging as the rain drenches him from top to bottom, completely and utterly alone, there are people around him, but they aren't there, not to him. His mind wonders to dark places, taking him through every dark thought he'd ever had, 'no!' He thinks, and he pushes the thoughts out of his head.

Jye Reeves is a man who is desperately trying to hold on to the good in the world, and bring happiness to it, but the world resists his attempts to help, and instead pushes him out, he is pushed and pushed until he can barely stand, finally one question remains...

A Modern Joke
As an aspiring writer, it's difficult not to look at stories you love and wonder 'What if?' I have notice how the Joker's origin in The Killing Joke and the Joker movie (2019) both stories take place during the 1980s. But what if it took place today? That's what I try to answer! In this original work I explore how a complex character like the Joker could emerge and be influence by current social problems. It's a romantic, and specially mysterious short story that I wish one day could help me make it to DC as a comic book writer, and if I don't, at least I enjoyed writing it, and I hope you enjoy reading it! Gacy Wayne, a girl with a very "eventful" past, was stuck in Arkham until an unplanned escape leads her to the outside world. On a mission to take back all the years of trauma she endured at Arkham, she finds herself changing her mind when someone close to her is permanently injured by her old and unkind lover. She takes it upon herself to have revenge on him but slowly tips off the edge as old memories start springing back up about their love. ------ "Well hello there Baby doll" that's impossible there's only one person who calls me that and I haven't heard from them since I was put in Arkham. (Basically MCU Spiderman mixed with Insomniac (Game) Spiderman but still 16, cause Batman and the added trauma is pretty juicy :} ) Peter was never one to complain, mainly because it would quickly snowball into an even bigger problem. Now he was stuck in the middle of the cursed hell scape known as Gotham, trying to make a living again while working in a library ( He learned his lesson from delivering pizzas, and photography), getting chased by a bat related hero/vigilante/anti-hero family when in his hero attire (They needed help, so) and almost threatened to be adopted by a rich billionaire family when he's Peter Parker.
