Set after the events of "Not What He Seems." "Grunkle Stan, I trust you." The words struck hard in Dipper's heart and he knows that something has changed between him and Mabel after that day. Hurt and alone, Dipper gets a visit from Bill in his dreams. The demon offers him an offer that he has trouble refusing: magic. And so Dipper begins to learn the true secrets of magic with the help of Bill, someone who once was an enemy to him. Mabel hasn't really change other than becoming more muture and she's taking a liking to one girl she knows. (continued after ddandmd, I do not own gravity falls or any of the pictures) After spending the first real quality time with his great uncle Ford, Dipper Pines finally has someone who won't tease what he likes, make fun of his personality, and someone he can truly trust. In other words he has finally made a friend. Allthough, when you make one friend you can lose another, and in this case, that friend is mabel. Sadly, the twins are now drifting farther away from each other. This is the perfect chance for someone, or rather something, to make his move and destroy Dipper from the inside out. After being trapped in Dipper's mind, Bill realizes that Pinetree's family had set up the perfect chess board for him, all he had to do was move a few pieces. At some point that neither Bill nor Dipper could pinpoint, the two become toxically dependent and somewhat obsessed with each other. Bill thrived on the dependency of Pinetree, and Dipper loved the attention he got from him. In the end, things start to drastically shift in the teen's mind and his new best friend is there to guide him. Mabel isn't the best sister, but she tries. It's not like Dipper's the best brother either. They both have messed up ways of dealing with their trauma, but she doesn't realize just HOW messed up her brother has become. {Please note that this book contains graphic depictions of abuse, strangulation, trauma responses, and hospitalization trauma, along with dark humor, non-consensual medical treatment, death etc. Reader discretion advised.} (This may not be accurate - it is fanfiction.
