I meet him at the winter ball, him in a navy blue suit, with his hair slicked back, stealing me away from one of his friends. He found me again an hour after our dance, laughing at me. I was stuffing the second brownie into my corset when he noticed me. I spun around, facing this tall man with a simple smile on his face. I, of course, blushed realizing that I have been caught. He asked me if I wanted to dance again, after suggesting to me to put the brownies on a plate for later. We danced for hours, talking about ourselves.

He never let another guy dance with me. He just wanted me to himself. I loved that, no one has ever wanted me. Everyone wanted my sisters. We went back to the treats table, shoving treats like brownies, baguettes, and strawberries, into my corset and his pockets. He took one the the champagne bottles, and two champagne glasses. We ducked down and held hands, running away from the party, to the park not that far away.

That night was an adventure. We ran away from people that didn't care or cared to much about us.
