After the defeat of Team Plasma for a second time, a new team appears from the shadows to destroy the peaceful atmosphere of Unova. The mysterious unknown team, Team Enigma as the media calls them, steals Pokemon from houses in the middle of the night to use them for their nefarious reasons.

Our story begins when one small Oshawott named Waves and his best friend Lil Lil the Lillipup are stolen by Team Enigma. However, before they are taken back to the evil team's base, Waves and Lil Lil escape and now must find their way back to their trainer's home. Along the way they'll meet many different Pokemon and learn more about this strange Team Enigma that has shown up to plague Unova and all its inhabitants.All Rights Reserved

Right after she gained her eighth Gym badge in Unova, she had an urge to visit her home region of Kanto and her friends who live there. After visiting with her family and friends in Pallet Town, she headed to Cerulean Cape to visit Bill, who started up Crystal's PC Pokémon storage system. Bill was in the middle of an experiment and Crystal offers to help, which brings her the ability of a Ditto: the ability to change into any Pokémon. That is, with practice. And the minute the professor returns she's out the door. As her journey begins, Riley meets a young boy who's labeled himself as a failure, but refuses to accept her help or convenience her with respect. They reluctantly travel together and Riley becomes aware of a name being used to refer to her: Champion, though she hasn't won any gym badges or done anything special. Meanwhile, in the shadows, Team Plasma reorganizes, gaining strength under corrupt Sages and officers and led by Ghetsis. The team preaches a new direction, but the same motives added to a more "direct" and violent approach. It searches for objects it's lost and powerful members who've fled; all the while planning a destructive and unstoppable endgame, eventually crossing paths with Riley. The new trainer sees Team Plasma's vile actions and builds up a hatred for it, becoming determined to stop them whenever they meet while continuing THE JOURNEY OF A CHAMPION.
