In the Arizona desert, Natt Raymer plays host to his young niece, Macy. When she finds a Polaroid of a mysterious woman, he reveals that he once gained and lost the love of an ancient, powerful oracle.
He tells Macy how it happened: between the columns of Ancient Greece, under the canopy of the Amazon, dodging fire in war-torn Britain. As Natt reckons with their past, he wonders if there's hope for a future.

Kara and her freinds now must find out how to survive in a land where little is what it seems and a villain can be made of a hero or a hero made of a villian. Atop all this sits Fate, pulling strings to make her puppets jump and keep things intresting, because she has always loved a good show. Until the show started to change, when one little girl in particular wants things to change, because if leaving means Death, well Fate has another thing coming, a new Queen is coming.
