Lani Kai becomes the victim of a tragic occurence. Troubled by nightmares, scared of human contact, and terrified of being alone she tries to cope with what her life has become. Lani uses her art as a coping method, but when what she's drawing begins to take a turn for the dark side she turns to drawing pictures at the park. Kiel Williams spent his life alone, his mother died in child birth, ad his father turned to alcohol and fighting to ease his heartbreak. Now, alone and broken, Kiel begins to think he's destined to the same fate. One day while he's lost in his own thoughts, he runs into a woman doodling a masterpiece. She doesn't acknowledge him, but everyday he returns to the same spot to sit next to her. and everyday he spills his life story, hoping she'll talk to him. Over the course of the summer, Lani and Kiel fall in love, and this is their story.
