Some crazy "Host", typically a nonhuman being, is all peppy and saying kill each other to win. The kids don't want to, they receive motives, killing begins. Slowly, the kids are weeded out to a small number of 2-6 kids. The main character nearly dies, but doesn't. They solve the mystery of the school, find the mastermind, and execute him/her and escape.
