Tom was used to being shot at. He was never shot in any vital places. He's been grazed a few times, caught in explosions, stabbed and beaten. But it was when Tom almost died protecting a potential victim from a bullet, did he realize that he could be falling in love. (This is an AU kinda based on Criminal Minds.
