Tom was used to being shot at. He was never shot in any vital places. He's been grazed a few times, caught in explosions, stabbed and beaten. But it was when Tom almost died protecting a potential victim from a bullet, did he realize that he could be falling in love. (This is an AU kinda based on Criminal Minds. Tom works as a profiler for the FBI, and is constantly on cases.) (Cover Art not mine)

Tom has been feeling pained after the incident with Tord and his giant robot. And, yes, this was pain of loss or hurt, but this was also because he had been experiencing symptoms of pancreatic cancer. This story is going to have chapters, quoting the song Cancer by My Chemical Romance. Like some TomTord fanfics, this takes place after The End. Tord comes to pay his apologies for what he did in the past. They forgive him, but Matt is keeping an eye on him. By that, he's making sure he won't try anything with Tom. Why should he care? On a rainy day, Tom mistakes Edd for racoons making a mess in his trash, Tom accidentally shoots Edd with his tranquilizer gun. Tom feels bad for shooting Edd and decides to take him in his home, during this time Tom starts to learn more about Edd and eventually feelings for him, but will Tom ever confess?? Does Edd reciprocate the same feelings for him?? Will this story make me cringe in the near future?? READ AND FIND OUT! This summary is trash, but hopefully the story isn't.

"You know what, you remind me of an old friend of mine." Tord smiled almost subconsciously and replied, "oh really? care to tell me how, Mister I-had-friends?" Thomas rolled his eye jokingly sipping more whiskey from his shot glass, "I don't know what it is exactly, but your presence just mimics him almost. Not to mention the obnoxious attitude." Tord playfully punched the barely sober Sheriff's shoulder, making Thomas chuckle at his actions. "Yeah he was annoying, petty, and very smug at times. But he was an excellent partner in crime." He swigged the liquid in his hands sighing, "And I'll never forget the way his face looked in the moonlight, sparkling. His smile was the one thing I knew out shined the stars, that bastard." Tord was speechless, surely Sheriff Thompson wasn't talking admirably about he himself, right? "A-and who, if I may ask, is this man of mysterious wonders giving you more energy than usual?"
