It's been 2 and a half years since Grace Montoya left her home in the suburbs of Chicago for San Diego. This would of course have been fine if she hadn't left without telling her friends and boyfriend that she was leaving, much less where she was going. But the academy told her that all people that weren't her direct family couldn't know. Couldn't know what had become of her or that she was going to a very special school. A school where the CIA picks their best agents.
It's been 2 and a half years since Kai Whittman's girlfriend disappeared without a trace. Not a head ups, not even a goddamn letter. Now a freshman in college, Kai has a lot more busywork to distract himself with -playing volleyball for MIT, balancing classwork and a small social life is no small feat you know- but the girl that he once loved has never left his mind, even though he's convinced himself that he's over her.
