Oswald is currently getting over the death of his wife, Ortensia, after 6 years. The healing process is slow, but he's progressing. His therapist, Sheba, is one of the best in town and the only one who was able to keep him calm when talking about Ortensia.

However, things change when his time with Sheba becomes limited from the urgent calls of a psychotic patient.

Bendy and Cuphead are lovers. They have been together for 7 years, however, during their second year Bendy is called to work. He remains at his workplace for several months before he finally returns home. Cuphead demands he quits that job so he doesn't pull another disappearing act, but the stubborn demon protests.

And his reason cuts Cuphead deep, filling the cup with hatred and jealousy.
