Izuku, after he saved the world, may have lost his life, but was given a new body that can shapeshift to and start his life over with as a gift. Each one took their path, lived, learned and worked for their own goals; there isn't that much of a story behind that lapse of time. Or is it? Katsuki Bakugo made plenty of mistakes in the past, even though he didn't even got to see them at the time. It will all answer itself as soon as Izuku reappears; however, accepting it can be more difficult than he even thought it might.
