After a attack hits in every part of the Texas area schools have been pushed into lockdown, no one should be allowed to leave, that's until the cannibalistic monsters pushed through the barriers. Laia's first priority is to get to her younger brother and protect him. Though not only does she have to find her brother, she finds a three year old boy and pushed into taking care of him from all the monsters. Laia has go to grow up faster than she would like, and the boy will have to grow faster than she would want for him.
