In the year 2028, there is a new female President elected. As war erupts across the Pacific Ocean, the United States is left to pick their next move. As the United States government fights over whether to join the war effort, the President secretly takes action. She has 50 bunkers built across the United States and picks ten people from the age of 18-21.  In the year 2029, there are 500 letters hand-delivered to ten people in each state. In the year 2030, the bombs fall and 500 young adults rush to the bunkers in which they were assigned.  

Aryah Winters is one of the Select 500, and one of the ten selected for the North Carolinian bunker.

But less than 48 hours after stepping onto the surface, they realize it's not as safe as they thought and there are enemies-dead and alive-lurking in every corner. - AN: Obviously it's still a work in progress, but I'm hoping to get some comments and feedback about what I have so far so maybe I can one day publish when it's done. I also have plot lines for two other books that take place years after this one ends so it's a possible trilogy! Will Quinn be a fearless raider killer or will he become the most horrible human being on the planet? After a nuclear war nearly in 2150 the whole Earth has become uninhabitable for humans. There are some major cities which are still running but have very scarce resources such as food, water and oil. There are tall, thick walls protecting people from the outside world, surrounding the whole city and there is a ceiling, blocking the radiation from seeping in as air is filtered through the roof. The year is now 2205 which is the beginning for Earth to become how it was before. There are a group of people called The Warriors who go out and try to look for resources, facing death daily. A seventeen year old boy tries to steal food for his friend, he gets caught and is sentenced to death. The only way he could get out is if he joined The Warriors to search for a mythical jungle which is rumored to be flourishing in food and water. The journey is going to be very dangerous and death can come at any corner. There are bandit clans, somehow surviving outside of the walls and new types of animals unseen from humans that they didn't know existed. He will meet new friends, make some enemies and will be manipulated to do some really idiotic things, will he survive the journey and become a hero? Or will he die anyway?
