Beverly's dream of becoming a lead DA is put on hold when she meets Rashad Wilburn, a flashy club promoter with his eye "On the prize" -her. 10 years her senior she is reluctant to give him the time of day until he takes it upon himself to buy her a brand new Honda Accord. The two fall deeply in love and she begins to sink into an obsession to please him.

When she and childhood friend/foster sister Cantrell Brown decide to abandon college in their senior year on Rashad's good faith they are sure they will thrive in the Los Angeles entertainment industry. However, they find themselves in the middle of an high-class female escort ring;their dreams of a lavish life deemed to become reality when they began to receive recognition from high class clientele of the likes of famous athletes,musicians and entertainers.

Life is finally starting to look up for the two girls;however, trouble in paradise hits when Rashad's past comes back to haunt him and he decides to devise a plan to hit the biggest "lick"of his life.

A robbery ends in tragedy and Beverly is placed at the scene of the crime where she quickly discovers the true meaning of be careful what you wish for.
