Losing his parents due to a villain attack, that could've been prevented, Midoriya Izuku has started resenting the hero society. He saw many heroes as 'fake', aiming for glory and fame, money and all the attention in the world. His resentment towards those 'fake' caused him to turn to the shadows. 

But, not wanting to become a villain himself, he's chosen to stay in the middle. A vigilante. Resenting both sides. 

Born with feline aspects worked in his favour, enhancing agility, flexibility and senses. This allows him to stay hidden from the outside world.
