Nicole Rayner, or Nikki as she is called by her friends, is not your regular teenager. She is a Nescient, one of the Dark Hunters who has yet to discover their skills. Together with her best friends Ella and Izzy she attends Adelaide Academy, a preparing school for the Dark Hunters where they learn all the deadly abilities needed to protect the world against all those that go bump in the night. 
    
             In addition to the normal worries of every highschooler, Nikki has to face magic, supernatural creatures, and of course, staying alive. As she navigates the dangerous waters of the magical world Nikki must confront forbidden love and unseen dangers from those she trusts.
