Skye is a young half-blood, on a quest to find a magical necklace, accompanied by Percy. But suddenly they find themselves transported to a different dimension, right on the mountains near Velaris. Meanwhile, Azriel's spies report two unknown people climbing the mountain, and Rhys and his Inner Circle run to intercept any incoming threat. What they didn't expect was to find two kids fighting against half-a-dozen of horrible, terrifying monsters - and looking as if they were enjoying themselves. As they all struggle to find a solution to problems that continue to pile up, Azriel finds himself inevitably drawn to Skye.

Now Skye must learn to trust the Court of Dreams, and protect them all from the looming threat of her past enemies. Will Skye manage to capture Azriel's frozen heart, which seems to be slowly melting with every moment he spends with her?
