Amity is calm and quiet. It's been a little over a year since the tragedy occurred, when the killer shark terrorized this quaint little community. 

But now, body parts are being pulled up in fishing nets, a shipwrecked boat and a mysterious girl wash up on the beach. Now Chief of Police, Martin Brody has no choice but to close the beaches for the second time and call Matt Hooper from the Oceanographic Institute to help him get rid of another killer shark.
