Book 3 in The O'Connor Chronicles

"I will always find you."

Betrayed.

Alone.

Trapped.

A year after she escaped, Saige O'Connor finds herself back in the arms of her worst enemy; Darren Carter. Everything she has learned will be put to the ultimate test. Darren plans to win back his possession's love no matter the cost. Escaping once was hard enough, but twice? Impossible. He will never let her out of his sight again.

Ky Grayson finally has his family back together, only to lose the one person who makes it all worthwhile. Desperately he searches not only for her but for the traitor who turned the love of his life over. The Unseen is in shambles, almost nonexistent, but sometimes one must cut off the head of a snake for it to be truly dead.

One last stand. One last hope. One last chance. The final battle for her freedom. Things don't happen the same way twice.

"I still have her."

"Not for long. It's only a matter of time. You said so yourself."

He tensed in challenge, narrowing his eyes into slits. "It won't be easy."

"Never expected it to be." He stood still as I edged closer. This was him. The shadow man. "Darren Carter." He slightly jolted as if he wasn't expecting me to know that name. "Be ready. I'm bringing a whirlwind."

He huffed with anticipation, lips tilting upwards. "I'll be waiting."

No one wants to be found, no one wants to be seen.

But he has everything.

"What reason do I have to lie?" He looked up at me with squinted eyes. "Hmm, Maybe because YOU KIDNAPPED ME?" I yelled at him, throwing whatever was closest to me, which happened to be the plate I had just eaten off of. The plate missed his head but hit the wall behind him with a thump, it shattered to pieces onto the couch, food splattering all over. His eyes glazed over with anger. "Did you just throw that at my head?" He asked in a scary calm tone. I gulped, "Maybe if you weren't such an asshole I wouldn't have." I spoke, my voice shaking as much as my body was. "I'm not an asshole!" He yelled at me as he stood to his feet, and in two long strides made his way over to me. He grabbed me by the arms and pushed his face inches away from mine. Wanting to push his buttons, I did the only thing I could think of. "Only an asshole would say that." I told him, my voice low. I was mad and I wanted to see what he would do. He held my arms down. I laughed in his face, "What are you gonna do? Hit me?" I pushed, I wanted to prove a point, I wanted to show him how much of a monster he truly is. He released his grip, "No. No I'm not." He stood up and walked towards the door, running his hands through his hair. I was surprised, but decided to push further, to see how far I could actually push him. "Why not? You've done it before." I pointed out, my confidence growing now that he didn't hit me for that. He leaned on the door frame, his back to me. "Because I can't do it!" He yelled, turning around to face me. He strode towards me, anger fuming off of him. I cowarded away from him, scared he was going to hit me again. But, I wanted him to, just to make a point, but he did something that surprised me a lot more. He kissed me. *** April Hastings, a seemingly normal girl is abducted by her handsome boss. It's too revealing." He smiles "You can't even afford it, Lilly. So I am buying this." He stands up and makes his way to me. The space was cramped but he closed the door and locked it. Pinned me up against the wall. My breathing hitched when I felt the cold wall on my bare back and I gasp when he grabs my hips. He leans, almost hovering, and kissed my cheek "I'm buying this dress so you can wear it for me one day." I swallow "I'm never wearing this." He chuckles in my ear which makes my stomach feel crazy "You're wearing this for me so I can take it off, darling." I refused to answer him as I continued to try and break out of his iron-like grip. "Let me go," I whispered breathlessly. I felt the vibration of his laugh on my back. "Now, why would I do that little one? You're mine." ''Wh-what n-n-no you're not let me go now," I said as I dug my fingernails into his forearms. His calm composure was gone as he slammed my body against a nearby wall. I whimpered lightly. He responded roughly. "I'm not going to say this again, little one. You are testing my patience. I'm not afraid to put you in your place. You aren't leaving me; you are mine!!! Do I make myself clear?!!!" I felt tears stream down my face as I responded with a nob. He didn't seem pleased with this "answer with your words, dammit," he screamed. "Yeah, I understand, I said shakily. He smiled at me, brought his lips up to my check, and kissed me. "Okay, let's go, "he said with a light smile, grabbing my hand in an iron-like grip. A car stopped near me, and he opened the door, trying to pull me in. I quickly came to the realization what was happening, and I ran away from him. However, he easily caught me and threw me over his shoulder. I pounded my fist against his back. It seemed to unfase him as he threw me, closed the door, and looked hard at me. I sank down at his glare. "Go, Andrew," the strange man called out. After a while, his anger seemed to dial down, and he then sighed, running his hand through his brown hair.

(completed) When Evelyn Cruz, the youngest of the Cruz siblings, comes full circle back to an old family friend, she instantly is flooded with old memories. The Valor's have come back with business. That's all they truly cared for. The eldest son of the Valor's, Grayson, had made a promise to the Cruz siblings to never leave. That promise was broken 5 years ago. Though, the one most affected was Evelyn. He had solely set the promise from her words. He promised to not leave and cause her to become the taker of the family business she never wanted. Will she be able to forgive him? Or will they both have to live with a lost connection beyond repair? ~~~~~~~~~ I'm trying my best to not listen to his voice booming behind me. Following me. "Evelyn, please!" Grayson's footsteps are getting closer to my trail and I can't help but speed up. But no matter how hard I tried to get away from him, he caught up to me. "Evelyn-" Grayson's arm wraps around my arm and I'm tugged back, flipping around to face him. "What the fuck do you want Grayson?" My harsh voice echos in the empty, open hallway. "God, I dont know what you want me to do. I have tried everything to get you to forgive me." He takes a sharp breath when I pull a knife out of my pocket and hold it to his stomach. "You really want to know why I haven't forgiven you?" He stares down at me blankly and gives a short nod. "Because you took the one thing I hoped you would care for." I press the knife ever so slightly more into his skin, causing only a small reaction from Grayson. His jaw clenches before he speaks. "And that is?" I shake my head at how stupid he is. You would think the taker of the Valor family business would be smarter. But no. I use my free arm to grab his tie and tug on it, leaning him down. He was so close to me. I could feel his warm breath against my lips. We were only inches away. "My trust Grayson."
