But something that makes her different from the others is, severe combined immunodeficiency, also known as SCID, a disease. Causing her not to go outside, she still has a bright imagination of what the world looks like based off what her mother, Janet, tells her. She's been born with it and with it, comes no cure. She just wants to be let out to house for once and be free, but she knows that can't happen.
Until one day...
She sees this boy, Mason...Mason Perez. A tall hispanic boy, beautiful is what she thought, moved into her neighborhood, right next to her home. They talk and talk for weeks....she trusts him with her life....and yet, he changes it...

"Why the hell won't you just admit it?!" I yelled at him. "Admit what?!" He asked. "The REAL reason why you don't want to be with me! It's cause I'm too fat and cause I'm white and you are so afraid as to what your friends might think, aren't you?!" I snapped at him. "You don't know shit!" He snaps right back at me. "Oh no? Why can't you just tell me? I can take the rejection!" I snap again at him. He starts stomping his way over towards me and raises both my hands against the wall and above my head as he leans in closer to me just inches from my lips. "You think I don't want to be with you because I'm too embarrassed because of how big you are or that your white? You really think I could give two shits as to what anyone including my friends think about us? Well I don't. I could give two shits about what anyone thinks! So stop fucking assuming you know me or what I'm thinking cause you don't!" He fires back at me. "Well then what is it then huh?" I asked. "You wouldn't understand. But do me a favor and stop pretending that you know me when you don't." He says.
