Queen of Nothing

Before Adria, there had never been a mage born in the royal family of Meridia. It was a well-known fact that magic was almost always inherently dangerous. An improperly trained mage could cause unimaginable destruction. For the firstborn daughter of the largest country of the known world to be in possession of such power, people weren't sure if she was cursed or blessed.
Despite her powers, she had grown up a beloved princess of the people. Everyone anxiously awaited a future with her on the throne, not knowing that such a future would eliminate her own personal happiness. In her heart, she craved a life with the woman she loved.
When tragedy strikes, and she is accused of the murder of her own parents, Adria is given no choice but to flee her own country. Instead of Queen of Meridia, the beloved mage-princess is an outcast and exile. But should she even attempt to reclaim a throne that is rightfully hers? Torn in a few different directions, Adria sees no way for all of her life to come back together without at least one portion of it slipping away.
