Vikk can't continue a normal life like this, no one can move on. There are photographs, memorials, tributes and everyone is still pleading for someone to come forward, but no one does. How can anyone move on like this?

Losing Our Battles- A Vikklan, Merome and Poofless Story
Everyone has their battles. Preston was diagnosed with cancer, leukemia, at 17 years old and 7 years later he was still battling it. He's almost never home, spending months upon end in hospital receiving treatment that is working less and less each time. Rob's parents never seemed to care about him but as he got older and became more independent, they became abusive. Nothing he could do was good enough for them. Mitch couldn't remember a time that he wasn't depressed, that he felt like he was alive. Treatment never seemed to work, meds only made him feel worse and the only thing that made him feel anything was bringing a blade to his skin. Jerome didn't know how the addiction started, but drugs had always been apart of his life. His parents were addicts so it seemed like fate that he would follow the same path, and now he didn't know if he could change. Vikk had turned to alcohol to lessen the pressure on him to succeed and now it was just apart of his life. He tried to hide it and got pretty good at it too, but he was sure that someone knew of his habit. He was drinking his life away. Lachlan was diagnosed with schizophrenia. The mania set in worse as more years passed to the point where he wasn't entirely sure what was real anymore. Everyone has their battles, but sometimes, people lose.

Each ended up here in a very different way, but now they're all heading down the same path. Jerome never even realised that she was pregnant- he saw her for one night, drunk while at a party, and 9 months later he was served with papers, demanding he take custody. Mitch was raped. He thought his testosterone shots would prevent anything from happening but whether by fate or not, the pregnancy continued. He never wanted this, but he had no choice in the matter. Vikk didn't expect to end up as a father, especially not a father of twins, but his partner didn't want both of them. She took one child, leaving Vikk with the other, while he desperately searched for the child she took. Neither Lachlan or his girlfriend wanted to be parents, and it interfered with both of their jobs. Her job was more important to her than her relationship or child and she left him with said child, unable to cope. For Rob it wasn't planned, but he was ready to take each day as it came and support his girlfriend through parenthood. But when the baby is born and suffers extensive brain damage his girlfriend leaves him, leaving him behind with a disabled child. Preston was in a committed relationship, married, ready to begin a family, but complications left him alone with his little boy. But as their paths collide, things change. Who will be left on the other side?

This story idea was originally by @fakeimagination. If you haven't read her story, I recommend reading at least the first 9 chapters to get a feel of the story. In my story, being a unique (solus in her story), isn't as bad though. Mitch, Jerome, Rob, Preston, Vik and Lachlan are all reaching the age 16, when they will be given a series of words somewhere on their body. The words mean what your soulmate's first words to you will be. What will become of the Pack when they get their words? Or will they even get their words?
