Sunny Augusta is a human in a world where humans are on the brink of extinction.

Twenty years ago an alien invasion threatened to destroy the planet.
Salvation came in the form of benevolent aliens calling themselves the Peace Makers.
Defeating the invaders, they helped the planet rebuild from the ruins by appointing themselves Earth's Protectors and Caretakers.

Ten years later Sunny's parents were killed and she became an orphan.
But, the Peace Makers were no longer the benevolent protectors they claimed to be.

To escape slavery as a ward of the State, Sunny went to live with her grandmother in the November Hills. There she grew up among outcasts and rebels who fled the Peace Maker rule, to live a frontier life on the outskirts of civilization.

Until one stormy night when a new kind of alien crash lands in the November Hills.

A creature who Imprints on the first species it encounters.
Whose first contact on Earth is with Sunny.
A stranger who saves her life, holds the key to ending Peace Maker rule...

... and claims that Sunny Augusta is his mate.

In a world of gods, pirates, and blessings, Phoenix Finch lives in a small coastal town secluded from the rest of the world. In a town that values rules, traditions, and law above all else, Phoenix has never known of anything else. When he is both rescued and kidnapped by the most fearsome pirate of them all, Nico Maheras, The West Wind, he is brought into a world so unlike his own. Scared and alone, he lashes out, and the captain lashes right back. As he is introduced to more and more of the crew, he finds that maybe, Pirates aren't as bad as he thought, and maybe the captain isn't as scary as he seems. He begins to settle into the ship, finding friendship and freedom. But when his sister is kidnapped by Redcoats for her blessing, he must take action and save her along with his new friends. But Phoenix will soon find out there is more to himself, the captain, and this story, than it seems. - - - This is the first draft of my novel, which took about a year to write. As such, this is somewhat unedited, and needs improvement. Constructive criticism is both wanted and appreciated. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Cover is mine, made with AutoDesk Sketchbook and BeFunky photo editor. - - - - Content warnings: Kidnapping, Violence, Cursing, Fighting, Torture, Death, mentions of past s*xual assault, and slavery. Please let me know if there's any other warnings that you think should be added! (I swear that makes it sound so much worse than it actually is. This is a lighthearted story about friendship, self discovery, family, and freedom.)

No matter which planet you reside on, it is known that one must meet with the Goddess Of Beginnings to find out who they are soul tied to. Once you know, you must then leave your planet and start a new life with them. Refusal will end up with banishment to the planet Plut, an ice covered wasteland where none have survived. Lynx comes from a planet where females are honorable and could never refuse the word of the Goddess. But she would rather do anything else than find out who her soul is tied to and leave the one she has already fallen for, Seren. They both plan to run away until her mother forces her to meet with the Goddess of Beginnings and find her mate. She finds out she is tied to a male named Scorpius on the planet Ocura, which is said to be one of the most dangerous planets to inhabit. Will Lynx be able to fight the word of the Goddess and be with her true love? Will the magic that ties them be too strong and change her feelings completely? Or will fate take over and give her the life she fears most of all, a life wed and mated to Scorpius? *Book One*
