Damaged, sloppy seconds. Carrina wasn't always like that. Once upon a time she was beautiful. She carried a graceful presence that commanded the attention of every man from a very young age. The beauty that she had been blessed with turned into a wicked curse. She now walks the streets with her long hair acting as a form of protection. Afraid and embarrassed to let anyone see her disfigured face. She put all of her frustration and emotions into exercising and learning how to defend herself so that what happened to her would never happen again. Years of training and dedication have morphed the weak, fragile Carrina into a warrior. By chance she stumbles upon a tournament filled with Fallen creatures of the night. She finds herself fighting for her life against werewolves, vampires and witches alike. She manages to make it to the final round where she comes face to face with Logan. A cold, ruthless killer that is known for showing no mercy. But that is exactly what happens when Carrina is staring death right in the face. Logan cannot find it in himself to kill the girl that is starting to make him feels things that he hasn't felt in years. So without a backward glance he leaves her wanting more. Stupefied, Carrina wants to know why she was given a second chance at life. What she finds is more that what she came for. Logan lives and fights without a heart. Can "disfigured, sloppy seconds" Carrina help Logan learn how to feel emotions other than hatred again? And can she help him escape the clutches of Aliah?

He growls lowly and slowly in my ear causing me to shiver. Then he looks over his shoulder, "everyone go inside." Everyone nods and drops what their doing and run inside. Then he looks back to me and growls again and runs his hand across my neck before pressing down slightly and leaning in closer to me,"I know you aren't ready for this, I understand that. I told you I'm going to wait for you and still even then you are mine. And I'll do everything in my power to protect you and that also means me claiming you," he pauses and gives my neck butterfly kisses making me let out a moan and nod, "the men here are mean, rough and ruthless and will do anything to get a girl they want.
