Waking up with powers, unique abilities and the unquenchable hunger for human blood is a helluva way to start the day. 
A young girl is viciously attacked, intentionally infected with the Vampire's curse and left to die in the sun. She is rescued by another vampire who witnessed the assault and safely delivered to a brood of 10 vampires living in the abandoned subway tunnels of New York, City. While the brood struggles with the mystery of who this girl is and why she was the target of such an attack, she is taken under the wing of her rescuer who teaches her  how to use her newfound powers and how to cope with the threats that come with being a creature of the night.
