Book 4 in the To Be A Runner series. If you have not read books 1, 2 or 3, I seriously suggest you do before continuing in order to avoid confusion.

An expectant mother, a shady government worker, an unexpected visitor, and the search for a cure.

Yep, that sounds about right.

It's been almost nine months since the world was saved from eternal happiness, but the world is still in danger. The dead still walk and we are still far from finding a cure.

But we are still discovering new things. Veronica's hard at work, and with Abel teaming up with the Ministry nothing should be able to stop us. At least, that's what I thought.

But there are things we still don't understand, things I'm not sure I want to understand, like the voices in my head, like the zombies that can almost talk and are what Veronica likes to call 'Sentient Type Zombies'. There are things that I'm facing that I'd rather just forget-things I'd rather not know about...

But I can't be that way. I can't back down-not from the A.M.T.B., not from the voices in my head, and not from the overwhelming feelings that clog my throat and make it almost impossible to breathe whenever I see-

No, feelings are not important now, not when a cure is available, not when he's busy worrying about his baby that's due to arrive and the fact that Paula's getting sicker and...

I'm getting off topic.

It's time for me to step up once again. My job as a runner is never done. Now it's time for me to step up and be a hero.

Disclaimer-I do not own Zombies, Run! Or its characters. I only own the ones I created. This is my Runner Five's version of season four and what I think happened in between missions.

Book 7 in the To Be A Runner series New allies, V-Type zombies, rising anarchists, and a country that can't seem to find stable ground. Yep, that seems about right. It's been six weeks since Sigrid was taken down, and in those times, things have gone to chaos. A power vacuum has been created, and people are desperate to find a way to keep everything from falling apart. The cure has been created, but V-Types, the unkillable zombies, still pose a threat. We aren't even sure if the cure works on them. Unfortunately, they aren't even our worse problems. The Last Riders, a chaotic group that for a long while did nothing but cause petty chaos and take lives whenever they could, have suddenly turned darker. They did terrible things before, but with the country split and the late leader being reveled as the monster she was, they've decided there's nothing left to live for. They're determined to take us all down. That's where I come in. As I put more effort in finding a cure for my immortality, as well as keeping my children safe and happy (one child in particular), I also must work remember put the most important things first-which is getting through this second wave of the apocalypse. It's a good thing we have Colonel Sage and... Veronica to help us. The question is though, can Abel really trust them? It seems we don't have much choice in the matter, but I've learned to keep an eye on everyone. And I believe I need to look back at the Vikings, learn from them and what we have from the Edda to figure out how to stop these V-Type zombies. It's time to be a warrior. Highest ranking: #104 in Mystery/Thriller Placed 1st in 'Most Engaging' category of the Sour Apple Awards Placed 1st in Mystery/Thriller category of the Gem Awards Placed 2nd in 'Best of the Best' category of the Amethyst Awards Placed 3rd in Mystery/Thriller category of The Dreamcatcher Awards Also has stickers for winning first in other awards. A secret unknown mission, a shot down helicopter, a guilt-ridden heart, and no name. Yep, that sounds just about right. I came to Abel Township for one reason only, but after the unfortunate event of my helicopter being shot down by a rocket launcher of all things, I'm apparently going to be staying here a lot longer than planned. Because of it, I'm going to have to play nice in order to survive, which is a lot harder than it seems. Everyone carries a burden with them, me included. I'm a runner, and until I leave this pathetic little settlement I'm going to do my job, and run. But one of the things I'm learning it that nothing is ever as it seems. Each piece of the puzzle brings another question, another addition to the story shrouded in mystery and dripping with sinister intent. Maybe this settlement is as pathetic as I thought it was. Maybe my helicopter was shot down for a reason. I cannot wait around for an answer. I learned that long ago. Now deemed Runner Five, I have decided I will do what I have to do to find out every mystery here in Abel Township. And I'm going to start with my actual mission. What is Project Greenshoot... And how will it help this settlement survive the zombie apocalypse? Disclaimer: I do not own Zombies Run or it's characters. The only characters I own are the ones I created all by myself. This is my Runner Five's perspective on the missions in season 1 and just in Abel Township. Hope you enjoy. Cover by @_Thalix_

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. **This is a spin-off of my book Zero. Some of the characters will be the same, but this book can be read as a stand alone.** Everyone has made mistakes before, but not everyone has made mistakes that induce the zombie apocalypse. Ella Fairchild is one of unlucky few who can say she's made such a mistake. She didn't know what she was doing. She thought she was doing good for the world. She was wrong. But to her, none of that matters. As the last living person who contributed to the creation of H-26, more commonly known as the zombie virus, Ella shoulders the weight of the world for her mistakes. Nearly a year after the outbreak, Ella has a chance to try to right her wrongs. She hasn't been outside the walls of the safe establishment since the virus spread. Now, inexperienced, weak, and scared out of her mind, she'll do whatever it takes for a chance at stopping the virus. But she's not foolish, Ella knows she can't do this alone. Kyle Russell is a certified bad ass, an ex-Army Ranger come out of retirement to save the world from zombies. He's sinfully good looking, a little rough around the edges, and doesn't sugarcoat anything, but he's the guy you want on your team. He and his team of runners haven't failed a mission yet. Amongst their own, and even civilians, they're rock stars. They're the people who give everyone hope that a war against zombies that can be won. They're the exact opposite of Ella. They're the best, and if Ella is going to succeed, she needs the best. **This is a spin-off of Zero and will feature some of the same characters. However, it can be read as a standalone.

She's dead by the third chapter. Okay, it's a bit more complicated than that. Okay, it's A LOT more complicated than that. Renata wants nothing more than to pay her bills through her mildly boring office job and figure out whether she is still in love with her best friend. The latter half of that desire is just a sneak peak into her messy life-and it's only getting messier. Considering the paranormal world she is about to dive head first into, she will come to realize that figuring out her heart may just be the easiest part of this journey. Well, the endless supply of supernatural hotness in this story may beg to differ-but that's besides the point. Either way, it's gonna be a killer time ;) EXCERPT Chicken tacos it is. Right as Renata grabbed the ingredients, she turned to put them next to the stove, where a clean, plastic cutting board awaited. But as she moved, she was confronted by a stranger, an intruder, standing mere inches from her. Before she could scream, he was on her, slamming her against the fridge. Her back flashed with sharp pain. Her eyes pricked with fear as she drank in his uncovered face. Deeply tanned skin. Ruby red eyes-ruby red eyes? Thick, slashing eyebrows. Flat, broad nose. Buzzcut. Handsome. That was as far as she would go in complimenting him considering this guy held a knife to her throat. When he spoke, his voice came out like thunder. It held a thousand threats and a thousand secrets. It held promise of pain if provoked. "If you scream," he warned, mouth pulled in a slight snarl, "this ends quickly." She didn't dare nod against the blade. He noticed and amusement lit up for just a second in those devilish eyes. Oh, whoever the fuck this was, she already hated him. Considering her predicament, panic was the most prominent emotion coursing through her at the moment. "Good." He removed his hand "Now you're going to answer my questions." °°MATURE AND EXPLICIT CONTENT OF ALL KINDS, AND I MEAN ALL KINDS°
