The Year 3000, first published in 1897 by the Italian neurologist, physiologist, and anthropologist Paolo Mantegazza, and defined by him as a dream, instead of a novel, was considered by many to be the forerunner of many science fiction books. It describes the human society of the year 3000, which is associated with the United States of the world, and which has long forgotten wars. The "dream" that begins as an application of the philosophical principles of equality, social law, and meritocratic progress, unfolds with a dreamlike trend, passing from detailed descriptions of small things to the philosophy of maximum systems, or to the commentary on religion of the year 3000, when the author, not hiding the autobiographical references in the book, expresses his agnostic beliefs.

Unfortunately, however, the "dream" also takes on a nightmare tone, when, starting from the aforementioned principles of evolution, it comes to the recommended suppression of fragile newborns and therefore "unfit for life" or "predisposed to crime." Science, when it has the presumption of replacing God, leads to the delirium of omnipotence, and to a severe conflict between reason and heart: significant that only years after the publication of this book.

Viktor didn't expect to be abducted by aliens when he went to school one morning, and he certainly didn't expect to be thrown into the alien equivalent of a dog-fighting ring, either. But when fighting for his life quickly becomes his routine, will he be able to muster up the strength to break that mold? Especially when the fate of humanity rests on his shoulders? *** The Vokkrus, a warrior alien species, go to Earth with the intention to 'rescue' the human species from their dying planet. The catch is that they believe humans to be nonsentient and incapable of intelligent thought. They are treated as nothing more than the common animal. They are a commodity, something to fawn over and ogle at. Humanity's strength and stamina are nearly unrivaled on this new planet, and when Viktor is taken to an alien fighting ring, he quickly dominates the competition. Mercy has no place in the arena. When Viktor is adopted by the leader of the Vokkrus, an intimidating alien whose intentions are unclear, he is forced to shed his wariness and convince the alien king to save humanity from his accidental oppression. *** Please don't advertise other stories in the comments! In a distant realm where magic thrives, ferocious beasts shake mountains and rivers with their mighty roars, and individuals wield superhuman strength capable of reshaping their surroundings. It is a magical world where the strong rules. But rampant corruption and chaos exist, where slavery, rape, murder, and discrimination against the weak were all but common. The magically superior people trample over the lesser unfortunate folks, using them as stepping stones and disposable assets. All hope for these downtrodden souls seems lost, but the wheels of fate have other plans for them. In a faraway ocean, one that is filled with demons and sea monsters, a great technological civilization suddenly appeared, one that came from a world that is only filled with chaos and destruction. This civilization became the heaven for people seeking a stable and peaceful life. The Earth rose and seas parted ways, and the environment had totally changed for its adaptability. Unfortunately, the inhabitants of this great technological civilization are all but manaless, arriving in a world where they are seen as inferior and as slaves. How will they react of finding themselves in a world where people can split mountains or bend the fabric of space, and where beings exist that even conventional weapons cannot defeat? How will they survive against deadly monsters, magical beasts, and superhumans that could threaten entire nations? And how will the other powers that exist in this world react to a powerful, advanced nation filled with a race they deem inferior? This is the story of one of the most powerful empires on Earth, and how it broke the balance of power and rose to the top.
