These are the chronicles of Bael, onetime Priest of Lhankor Mhy the Lightbringer and God of Knowledge, as he travels across the continent of Glorantha.
Glorantha is a fantasy world created by Greg Stafford. It was first introduced in the board game White Bear and Red Moon (1975) by Chaosium, and thereafter in a number of other board, roleplaying and computer games, including Rune Quest and HeroQuest, as well as several works of fiction and the computer strategy game King of Dragon Pass.
I wrote this story as a homage to Steve Perrin and Greg Stafford for making my childhood so much richer than it could have been. I hope to do justice to their powerful legacy.

Wanting for hope, they cry out to their god. And yet, He has not answered. Until now. Apollo is a young man created by the fire god, Proelus, and blessed with His divine power. Naive to the ways of the world, yet endlessly curious, he sets off on an adventure to finally bring peace to Drakonia. Countless have prayed for his arrival. Yet will his people accept him, or will they place their hopes in another generation of war?
