Second Chance AU
Keith and Lance had been friends most of their lives. When Keith came out to Lance as gay, Lance had run a mile and their friendship ended. A years later Lance realised he was attracted to both boys and girls, but he only told his two friends Hunk and Pidge because his girlfriend, Allura, is anti-gay. They are all now halfway through their second year at college and Lance finds he can't stand Allura anymore. She is nasty and self-absorbed. To make matters worse, he finds himself in all the same classes as Keith, except one. Lance wants his friend back as more than just a friend. On the day he dumps Allura, the unexpected happens. This story is loosely based on the paladins of Voltron. I have not watched all the seasons and have changed the back story of some characters. It's been months since The Paladins found the Blue Lion and flew off into space. It's been months since they started fighting against Zarkon and The Galra Empire. During all those months, the Paladins have honed their skills and bonded more. When the anniversary of Allura's passing came around he decided that was the best time to reconnect but who would've thought that the stars refused to align when Keith was found injured and unconscious with a beautiful stranger by his side. Will Lance ever find out if Keith still fancies him like before? Why was Keith injured and who is this stranger who won't leave his side? (I know this fandom is long gone but I rewatched Voltron several weeks ago before they removed it off Netflix. I forgot how much I loved it and how we were deprived of Keith and Lance ever being together so I decided to create this story.
